"Light-House Fright-House"

Films: Tormented! (1960)

Alias: None

Type: Mystical

Location: Ocean

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Evil

Summary: Careful with how you choose your loved ones. Some just don't turn out to be the one. But even then, you can still be friends, and it doesn't mean you have to off the old flame to move on to the next. Otherwise, you get an ill conscience and perhaps even an angry spirit.

History: Vi Mason was an old flame of Tom Stewart, a jazz player intent on leaving her behind on every level to pursue another. While preparing for his wedding, Tom finds Vi at the slightly derelict lighthouse he lives at. Due to faulty guardrails, she ends up hanging on the side over the rocks and the sea. Tom willingly lets her slip and drown in the water below. But not even death can keep her away, as she comes back, regains her voice, and dedicates her afterlife to, well, tormenting the sleazy man in every way.

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: Vi's revenge comes to fruition when she causes Tom to fall off the lighthouse by scaring him with her apparitional form. He was about to throw a little girl off first, so no pity points there. When the others find his dead body on the shore, Vi's corpse is there too, holding his hand with their engagement ring.

Powers/Abilities: Invincible and capable of appearing and disappearing anytime.

Weakness: None.

Scariness Factor: 4-While Tom was a bit of an a-hole, Vi didn't have to harm others while exacting her revenge. And man, does anyone want to be haunted by their ex?! The pain must be boundless!

Trivia: -Vi was played by Juli Reding, who starred in the crime drama "Why Must I Die?" in the same year.

-Vi was most likely inspired by the concept of the Revenant, an undead being rooted in European folklore said to reject the next life to haunt others.

Who gets wed at a place named "Haunted Island"?!

She'll never forget this, you know.
"I brought you my spare head, darling!"

Sorry! I didn't mean to stare!.

"Remember, Stewart. You made me this way."
